See your revenue potential

Enter your numbers, including how much growth you think is realistic. We do the arithmetic and nothing else - and we subtract our own fee, so if the honest answer is that we are not worth it for you, this will say so.

This is arithmetic on your own numbers, not a forecast. The growth and margin figures are the ones you chose - we do not claim them.
The 12-month total assumes growth arrives gradually and only reaches your figure in month 12, so it is not the monthly uplift times 12.
The net position subtracts the fee of the plan you picked for all 12 months (we are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged) (Enterprise uses its $4,970 starting price; your real Enterprise price is confirmed on a call). There is no lock-in - 12 months is only the period we cost. If your numbers say SEO does not pay for itself in year 1, this will show you that.
It assumes a conversion is a paying customer. If your tracked conversions are leads, multiply your conversion rate by your close rate before entering it.
Real results depend on industry, competition, and starting point, and are never guaranteed.

How the calculator works

Six inputs. One honest number.

Input 1

Monthly visitors

Your total site visits per month from all sources - find this in Google Analytics or Search Console. Use last month's figure for the most accurate result.

Input 2

Organic traffic %

The percentage of your visits that come from organic (unpaid) search. Check Google Analytics -> Acquisition -> Channels. Most AU businesses sit between 25-45%.

Input 3

Conversion rate

The percentage of visitors who become leads or customers. Industry average is 2-3%. Check your CRM or use Google Analytics Goals. Even 0.5% matters at scale.

Input 4

Average customer value

What a typical customer is worth - either a one-off purchase value or 12-month LTV. For B2B retainers, use annual contract value. For ecommerce, use average order value.

Input 5

Growth you expect

How much you think your organic traffic can grow over 12 months. This is a judgement call rather than a number you can look up, and it is yours to make - we just default it to a cautious 40%. Set it to 0% and the calculator will honestly show you a year-one loss equal to our fee.

Input 6

Gross profit margin

What is left of a sale after the cost of delivering it - materials, labour, platform fees. Our retainer is paid out of profit, not revenue, so this is the input that decides whether the whole exercise is actually worth it. If you are not sure, most trades and service businesses sit between 40% and 60%.

The methodology

Where does the growth figure come from?

The assumption

You choose it, not us

This page used to apply a fixed 4.12x multiplier we picked ourselves, which meant it could never return a modest answer. That is gone. The growth slider is your assumption now - we default it to a cautious 40% and you can drag it anywhere from 0% to 150%.

The formula

Arithmetic, ramped honestly

Organic visits x conversion rate x customer value gives today's revenue. Your growth figure is the month 12 endpoint, not an instant uplift, so the 12-month total assumes a gradual ramp - it is deliberately NOT the monthly uplift times 12, which would overstate it by roughly 1.85x.

The caveat

Results vary

Competitive industries (law, finance, real estate) take longer. New sites start slower. Established brands with existing authority can move faster. The calculator gives you a directional benchmark, not a guarantee.
